Directly out of Stephen Wolfram’s “A New Kind of Science”
They draw the relation of massive parallel computing to a brain and how its so much faster than a modern day CPU. The brain’s computations are based on these cellular (not as in neuron or living cell, just a term to describe a specific bit, a cell can be on or off) automata.
